OneWeb Satellites is OneWeb’s industrial partner for the design and manufacturing of its fleet of microsatellites. This initial production of 900 satellites, each weighing less than 150 kilograms, is planned for launch into low Earth orbit beginning in 2018 to deliver affordable Internet access globally. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs flight hardware for satellite solar array panel assemblies

• Performs due diligence on designs and conducts mechanical, optical, electrical and thermal testing on assemblies

• Collaborates with manufacturing and systems engineers to ensure product integration

• Documents ongoing development efforts and participates in design reviews

• Develops tooling necessary to support testing of proposed designs

• Collaborates with manufacturing and system engineers to ensure product integration

REPORTING STRUCTURE

• To Design to Manufacture and Test Manager

PROFILE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 8-10 years of experience

• Strong background in space industry and design of solar array systems

• Ability to work with minimum supervision and commitment to meet deadlines in the most effective manner

• Manufacturing knowledge of solar array panels is preferred

• Negotiation level of English, French would be a plus

• Must be a US citizen and able to get a security clearance in the future if needed
