Women of the Year Banquet
The Space Coast Section of the Society of Women is again sponsoring three awards for women engineers from this area, the Outstanding Woman Engineer of the Year and the Distinguished New Engineer of the Year. Engineering companies, technical societies, educational institutions and government agencies have made nominations for these awards. The award recipients will be announced and presented at the annual Space Coast Women Engineer of the Year Awards Banquet to be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Rockledge Country Club.
In addition to these awards, the Society of Women Engineers will also be presenting a $1000 scholarship to an outstanding Space Coast area young woman entering engineering, math or computer science.
The banquet speaker will be Winnie Crawford, Senior Scientist at NASA’s Applied Meteorology Unit and 2006 Space Coast Women Engineer Technical Achievement Award Winner.
The banquet is open to any members of the public who wish to participate in this activity to honor women engineers for their accomplishments in the Space Coast area. A social hour at 6:00 will precede the 7:00 dinner. The cost is $30 Society members and $35 for guests. Reservations are available below.
