Call to Action: Launch STEM Careers Program

Launch stem career logoThe Launch STEM Careers Program is gearing up for the 2018/2019 school year with many exciting opportunities for girls from 4th grade to college seniors.
This year LSC is conducting the program at 8 elementary/middle schools and are using 4 high schools and Florida Institute of Technology girls to do the hands on STEM activities with the younger girls.
LSC has also partnered with FIT’s Ocean Engineering Department and they will be bringing their mobile science laboratory to each of the 8 schools for lessons in local and global ocean topics. LSC is also working with the Astronaut Memorial Foundation in order to add some coding activities to the program.
LSC is looking for volunteers at the schools, dates and times below.

The hands on activities for these schools will be conducted with STEM professional volunteers. FIT students are leading the University Park activities, but they sometimes need extra volunteers due to their challenging class schedules so their dates are listed as well.
