Girls in 3rd to 6th Grades can become engineers too!
Discover what engineering is all about while you have fun in five hands-on lab workshops. Each workshop will provide opportunities to do fun hands-on experiments related to several different engineering career fields. You will also be able to find out what different types of engineers do and will meet women engineers who will talk about how they became engineers.

The Launch STEM Careers Program is gearing up for the 2018/2019 school year with many exciting opportunities for girls from 4th grade to college seniors.
This year LSC is conducting the program at 8 elementary/middle schools and are using 4 high schools and Florida Institute of Technology girls to do the hands on STEM activities with the younger girls.
LSC has also partnered with FIT’s Ocean Engineering Department and they will be bringing their mobile science laboratory to each of the 8 schools for lessons in local and global ocean topics. LSC is also working with the Astronaut Memorial Foundation in order to add some coding activities to the program.
LSC is looking for volunteers at the schools, dates and times below.
